About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog.

My name is Sarah I am a 40 something married mother of three nest flown children.  Up until this recent spate of ill health I have worked within administration and accounts,  I was also a Special Constable for the local police force until Postural Tachycardia was diagnosed in October 2013

Finally in October 2014 I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type 3, this is a collagen deficiency problem and I would have had this since birth but obviously it has been misdiagnosed over many years.

I am writing daily about my experiences hoping it may help others on their Chronic Illness journey it is a difficult path we walk, but we do not do it alone, although many days it does feel like we are.

My blog is also about my adoration of Country Music, it is often what keeps me going.  My love for the music, the inspiration from the lyrics and the support from my Country Music Family.  To each and every one of those family members “thank you” xx

Please feel free to leave comments or to email me with any questions.

  1. Hi Sarah, I was just checking out your blog after you left a comment on mine. My sister in law has POTS. I had never heard about it until she was diagnosed, so you are the second person I’ve heard of with it. It’s really debilitating. She has little kids and finds it really tough.

    1. Thank you for your message 🙂 wow what a coincidence found your blog on LAB … Yes was diagnosed out of the blue in October so it’s really thrown me … Thank goodness I don’t have young ones I find it hard enough having to look after myself. I just hoping to raise further awareness to PoTs 🙂

  2. Hi Sarah,
I’m pleased that you decided to purchase SmartCrutch, From the picture I can see that you require an additional piece of kit. Please contact Jason@smartcrutch.co.uk and request that he send you a pair of upper-cuff foam pads, the foam pads will take up the space between your forearm and the cuff. This is a new development which we have just added to make SmartCrutch more comfortable for the user.
